Games and events

Leave the car in the garage

Greater Nevada Field is a twelve minute walk, so you can skip the parking. The airport is a six minute drive when it's time to fly home.

With the dog

Bring the dog along

There's a fenced, lockable run off the back door for the dog, and a whole house for the two of you.

The neighborhood

Most of it you can walk to.

        Getting around

          Worth the drive

Walking times follow real routes on real sidewalks. Driving times assume no traffic, which in Reno is usually true. Walmart and Raley's route past freeway ramps on foot, so they get a drive time even though a map will happily walk you there. Mt. Rose runs longer in winter and wants chains, and Sand Harbor fills up before 9am on a summer weekend.

            What you get

Everything that comes with the key.

What's waiting when you open the door.

            The house
Your own front doorThe two garages sit in the middle of the building, so your neighbor is on the far side of both of them.
Fenced, lockable dog runOff the back door. Open it and the dog is out in the run.
Attached garage, plus the drivewayPark in the garage and walk straight into the house. A car kept in there has no ice to scrape on a January morning.
            Ready when you walk in
A stocked kitchenPlates, forks, pans, coffee maker, wine opener, dishwasher. You can cook something real the night you land.
Washer and dryer inside your unitFull size, in the kitchen run, so you can pack light.
The small things you'd otherwise go buyIron, coffee maker, can opener, the spatula you don't think about until you need it. Toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, laundry soap, dishwasher pods and hand soap are in the cupboard, so the first night doesn't start with a shopping list.
            Things we picked out

            If something goes wrong

If you need us, we're in Reno.

Two promises, and two things you can always do.

You're booking a house you've only seen in photos. Here's what we promise in return.

            • We answer the same day Message us on Airbnb or email hello@biggestlittlebnb.com about anything, and one of us will reply that day.
            • If something isn't right, we get it fixed The heater, the wifi, the thing that was supposed to be there and isn't. Tell us and we'll keep at it until it's sorted.
            • See every room before you book The 3D tour and the two minute walkthrough are both on this page, and every photo is of the real unit. If you're already in Reno, ask and we'll try to show you around.
            • Ask us anything before you book Noise, parking, the neighbor, how cold it gets. We'll answer, and we'll tell you honestly if this isn't the right fit for you.
            Your hosts

Real people own this, and we live close by.

We're Bill and Sam. We own both of these units, we live in Reno, and there is no management company in another state between you and us.

If the heater quits, or the wifi drops, or you can't work out the thermostat, you're calling someone local who cares how your stay here goes.

We bought this duplex because we liked it, and we furnished it the way we'd want to stay in it. We picked the teal sofa and the orange pendant ourselves.

            Why a house

A hotel room is one room.

A hotel works for one night. Stay a few nights with the dog or the skis and you'll want more space than that.

            Before you ask

            The questions everybody asks.

            Are dogs actually welcome?

Yes. There's a fenced, lockable run off the back door. Airbnb adds a pet fee, and the listing shows how much. Tell us what you're bringing so we know.

            How far is downtown?

Greater Nevada Field, the ballpark downtown, is a twelve minute walk, and Arario Midtown is about twenty. The river and the casinos are downtown too. The walkthrough video ends with a lap over the Truckee and downtown.

            How loud is it?

Nobody lives above you, since it's single story, and your bedroom wall backs onto the garage. It's a residential street near downtown, with some traffic noise.

What do I actually need to bring?

Clothes, your laptop, your own toiletries and anything you take daily. Food is yours as well, and there's a Walmart four minutes away for the first run. Toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, laundry soap, dishwasher pods and hand soap are all in the cupboard when you get here.

            Where do I park?

Each side has its own attached garage, plus the driveway. You're not hunting for a street spot at 11pm after dinner downtown.

            The units

80 is ready to book. 70 is next.

This is a 1960s duplex on a residential street, so you get exactly one neighbor, and the two garages sit between you. Each side is its own house, and 80 is the one you can book now. If you haven't already, walk through it first.

70 Locust, next door, is coming soon.
